When I started this site back in 2009, it was a post-college side project that gave me motivation to explore the hidden corners of Los Angeles. Four years ago when I became associate editor of retail and fashion site Racked LA (which sadly shuttered last summer), I discovered how much I loved uncovering my city’s shopping stretches, stores, local designers, and more style-related gems.
On that note, I’m sure you’ve noticed that The Native LA Tourist has been on somewhat of an unofficial hiatus for the past two years. Though I won’t be completely pulling the plug on this site altogether, I’d like to take the opportunity to introduce my newest online platform: UncoverLA.com.
There, I’ll be highlighting everything I love about the City of Angels, from underrated hiking trails and unique local history stories to the newest boutiques and insider-faved spots. (For example, you can read all about Hollywood costume designer Nancy Steiner’s favorite local haunts.)
I truly appreciate your support over the years and I hope you’ll follow along over at Uncover LA.
